Kanza Cooperative Association recently purchased the former Ninnescah Rural Electric Cooperative building located on the west side of Pratt at 20112 West Highway 54. The decision to purchase this property was made with growth in mind.
“All of our offices in Iuka are currently full,” said Bruce Krehbiel, Chief Executive Officer. “The new building will allow us to spread out and keep our offices at closer to 75% capacity so we have room to grow in the future.”
The property purchased includes a building with office space, a shop building and a fenced in lot. The Kanza maintenance department has already relocated to the property and additional plans for the office space are being discussed.
In a related move, the board authorized the sale of the Kanza building in the 500 block of South Main Street where the maintenance department was previously based. This sale has also been finalized.
