Anderson Selected to Represent Kanza at KCC Youth Leadership Camp

Mackenzie Anderson of Andale High School was selected to represent Kanza at KCC Youth Leadership Camp.

Kanza Cooperative Association is exited to announce the selection of Mackenzie Anderson as our representative to the Kansas Cooperative Council (KCC) Youth Leadership Camp to be held in July.

Anderson, currently a sophomore at Andale High School, is the daughter of James and Betsy Anderson. She is ranked first in her class, active in the Renwick FFA Chapter and volunteers her time at a therapeutic equestrian riding center working with children with physical, mental and emotional disabilities.

“You don’t have to be loud and proud to be a leader, it is an opportunity to create other leaders,” said Anderson in her application essay. She also indicated an interesting learning about cooperatives, leadership and future internship and career opportunities.

Co-op camp is designed to educate young people on the cooperative principles. This summer program will provide a fun and engaging cooperative experience that builds leadership, business, and communications skills.

Anderson will also have a chance to network with other youth leaders from around the state.The 3-day, overnight camp will be held on July 8-10 at the historic Rock Springs 4-H Center, south of Junction City, KS.
