Kanza Annual Meeting Celebrates Successful 2018

Kanza Cooperative Association  celebrated another successful year during the organization’s Annual Meeting held on April 4 at the Cotillion in Wichita. More than 200 members and guests attended the event.

During the business portion of the meeting, directors Mike Christie, Brent Gruenbacher and Thomas Penka were re-elected by a vote of unanimous consent. The proposed bylaw amendment, that provides for election of directors through a vote-by-mail process, passed.

Chairman, Mike Christie, President and Chief Executive Officer Bruce Krehbiel and Chief Financial Officer Brad Riley each gave their respective reports on the organization’s progress and activities during 2018. Mike Meisenheimer of Lindburg, Vogel, Pierce, Faris, Chartered gave the report of the independent audit, which was presented as having a clean opinion.

The meal was catered by Hog Wild Pit BBQ and dinner entertainment was provided by Dr. Ji Yohn Shim. Congressman Dr. Roger Marshall  and keynote speaker Rhett Laubach both gave remarks during the event. Members in attendance were also able to pick up patronage and redemption checks.
