October is National Co-op Month and Kanza Cooperative Association is proud to join co-ops throughout the nation to celebrate the many ways cooperatives are using innovation to create shared prosperity for their members and communities.
The theme of this year’s National Co-op Month, “Co-ops See the Future,” embodies what co-ops envision and work to achieve every day—a more sustainable and inclusive tomorrow.
With more than 40,000 cooperatives creating stable jobs and a more sustainable economy across the U.S., co-ops represent a proven way to do business and build communities.
Plans for the month include:
- Promoting participation in Kansas Cooperative Council‘s #coopselfie campaign.
- Providing a chance to win Kanza Prize Pack’s through weekly Facebook challenges.
- Kanza staff members will see the future by visiting high schools in many of the communities served by Kanza to share information about cooperatives, Kanza’s various business units and career opportunities available within the company.
