2026 Board Nominations Open

The Kanza Cooperative Association Board of Directors is currently seeking nominations for the upcoming election of directors. Kanza’s board is comprised of eleven directors with five in our eastern and six in our western district. Director terms are staggered and last for 3 years each. Directors may be elected to four consecutive terms. 

Four director positions are on the ballot this year. Three of the four incumbent board members with expiring terms are eligible for re-election to another 3-year term. We are currently accepting nominations for the following expiring terms: 


-Alvin Neville, Eastern District
-Dixie Brewster, Eastern District
-Mark Fincham, Western District
-Gary Hornbaker, Western District (reached term limit)
 
A nominating committee has been appointed consisting of Frank Harper (Eastern), Brian Wetta (Eastern), Marlyn Spare (Western), and Brian Moore (Western). Any voting member who would like to be nominated or nominate another voting member may submit a nomination by mail or email to:

Nominations will cease on January 23 and the nominating committee will meet to review candidate eligibility. Eligible candidates will be included on the vote-by-mail ballot, which will be mailed to voting members in early March.
 
Members may return the ballot by mail or vote in person at the Kanza Cooperative Association Annual Meeting to be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Kingman High School.

On Tuesday September 16 we will be conducting system updates at St John Short Stop and Stafford Ampride. The update will start in St. John at 10 AM and then will move to Stafford.
During the upgrade, both stores will be accepting CASH ONLY and NO FUEL will be available.
